The Superior Administrative Court (TSA) will hear this Wednesday the appeal of the challenge process for the tender of a new tourist and commercial terminal in Puerto Plata, because the process is allegedly plagued by vices and procedural irregularities.

The request for precautionary measures was filed with the TSA by Joaquín Herrero, president of the company Aja International SA, represented by the law firm chaired by César Amadeo Peralta.

Peralta argued that the TSA was seized of a contentious appeal and of an anticipated precautionary measure against circular number 01 dated May 29, 2018 issued by the Dominican Port Authority (Apordom) for the construction, reconstruction and development of a terminal of cruises and a maritime commercial port in “La Novia del Atlántico”, according to the newspaper Hoy.

According to Peralta, the TSA issued authorization to hear the case hearing on Wednesday morning, in Santo Domingo, after being seized the appeal that was deposited for the presumption of possible crimes of concussion, bribery and coalition of officials, among others. serious infractions.

He indicated that the bidding, for an amount of RD $ 5 billion, will be in charge of the winning company, since in this work the State will not contribute resources, for which Aja International alleges violations of the principles of transparency, publicity and efficiency.

He pointed out that there is a violation of the principle of reasonableness, based on the fact that a company that intends to invest RD $ 5 billion of its own money and demonstrates irregularities in the supply of information regarding the specifications, should receive the greatest transparency without violating due process.
