The President of the Republic, Danilo Medina, led on Thursday the opening ceremony of the hotel complex Rancho Guacamayos in Bonao; designed under the schemes of a sustainable ecotourism, where the designs of natural landscapes are conjugated with buildings of a typical and modern concept at the same time.
It is recalled that the first stage of the complex, located in La Salvia-Los Quemados in the Monseñor Nouel province, has services to meet the demand of visitors. In lodging, about 50 rooms, in different categories, bar, pool, court, rooms for private and business meetings, wine stand, religious chapel, as well as a fish and seafood restaurant where the client fishes and the product leaves the pond to the pan.
It also has a villa with four rooms that is also rented only for families who want more independence.
Medina, at the time I leave inaugurated the construction of the second stage of the complex, where it is planned to build another 50 rooms, a second industrial kitchen, conference room, a water park, pet hotel and detached house. It is also planned to reach the 110 rooms, two villas that host 15 people each.
The hotel, owned by Antonio Marte, transport entrepreneur, is distributed in three plots, with a territorial dimension of 61, 245.15 square meters. In buildings of the first stage, has about 6,315.73 square meters and had an investment that exceeded 200 million pesos and has become a source of work for about 250 people.
Medina was accompanied by the Minister of Tourism, Francisco Javier García; Miguel Vargas Maldonado, Minister of Foreign Affairs; among other personalities linked to the industry and other productive sectors of the country.
Garcia said that “with this project, Antonio Marte, is giving back to the province what it has given him.”
The words of welcome of the act were pronounced by Janna de Marte co-owner of the complex and the blessing of the project was made by Monsignor Fausto Mejía, bishop of the Diocese of San Francisco de Macorís.
After the event, Antonio Merte invited those present to make a tour that shows the natural beauty and exquisite design of the various areas of the newly opened tourist center of La Villa de las Hortensias.
